The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering was well represented at the 2019 Winter Celebration, which was held in the Rome Commons Ballroom on Friday, December 6, 2019. The CEE Civil Bells and the CTIcicles tied for second place out of the 30 teams participating in the beach-shack-themed competition. The Civil Bells’ gingerbread house showcased UConn history with a representation of Avery Point’s iconic Branford House, along with the nearby Avery Point Light. CTI’s playful creation, “TomKat’s Surf Shack” captured the spirit of the event! A photo of both teams was shared on President Tom Katsouleas’ Instagram. Said President Katsouleas, “Loved the creativity and holiday cheer our faculty and staff displayed at our annual Gingerbread House Decorating Competition!”

Congrats to both teams!
