The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is proud to announce that Dr. Guiling Wang and Dr. Fangni Lei have been selected as recipients of the 2025–2026 Morico Sustainable Environmental Resources Faculty Fellowship.
Established by UConn CEE alumna Kris Morico, the fellowship supports full-time College of Engineering faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in research, teaching, and scholarship related to environmental and sustainability engineering. The award recognizes nationally or internationally distinguished faculty who have made significant contributions to advancing sustainable environmental resources.
Each fellowship, valued at $2,000, supports research and educational initiatives focused on sustainability, including student support, materials, travel, and professional development.
- Dr. Guiling Wang, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, is internationally recognized for her research on land-atmosphere interactions, hydroclimate modeling, and climate change impacts on water resources.
- Dr. Fangni Lei, Assistant Research Professor of Environmental Engineering, leads innovative work on contaminant transport and remediation, advancing sustainable water treatment solutions.
